Welcome! And thank you for visiting my Website.

I decided to set up this site to share my knowledge of Fossils and as a source of useful information via pictures and links. Also, to attract all ages into this fascinating hobby.

This site is primarily for the hobbyist and is not intended as a scientific reference.

I started collecting Fossils some ten years ago when I moved to Portland. Over that time I have amassed a large collection of Ammonites and Fossil Bones from The Jurassic Coast here in Dorset.

I am especially interested in the Fossilised Marine Reptile Bones from The Kimmeridge Clay. Plesiosaur and Ichthyosaur.

Five years ago I progressed to prepping my own Fossils in a small workshop at the back of my garden. Using Air Pens to remove Matrix that the Fossils are found in to expose the specimen inside. This is a long process but the end results are stunning. Which you can see if you visit The Gallery pages.
